Course Introduction

On 1 Feb 2021, the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2020 came into force. The PDPA amendments seek to strengthen the accountability of organizations and the effectiveness of PDPA enforcement efforts, while achieving balance between consumer protection and organization flexibility to harness data for innovation.

 

This half-day course will provide participants with a summary of the amendments that have been made to Singapore’s PDPA, along with the explanation of the impact of the amendments on business activities.

 

Who should attend?

Participants who completed the Fundamentals of the Person Data Protection Act (PDPA) course before 1st February 2021.

 

This refresher course is suitable for Data Protection Officers (DPO), HR Managers or Executives, Admin, IT, Compliance, Senior Management, and Data Protection Committee comprising of representatives from various departments who need to be involved in data protection matters.
